Multipurpose water-based water repellent

HM2 has a special formulation that makes the surface water-repellent while preserving its aesthetic characteristics and leaving the breathability of the substrates unchanged. It can be applied on all masonry materials such as: plaster, cement, limestone, stone, bricks, tiles and agglomerates. It provides the surface with invisible protection and increases durability and resistance against bad weather and atmospheric agents. It is a water-repellent and prevents water infiltration by penetrating inside the wall so as to avoid freezing during the winter and the risk of damage and cracks. It prevents efflorescence and mold formation. It does not create a continuous film, but penetrates covering each pore of the internal surface

Description

HOW TO USE

The product can be applied with a normal wide brush or by spraying (at low pressure). Before applying the product, the surface to be treated must be cleaned of any efflorescence or mould using a suitable specific cleaner such as SANNY KAL or CLEAN SPECIAL, depending on the type of substrate on which it is intended to be used. It is recommended to apply the product after 1 or 2 days, when the surface is perfectly dry. HM2 is applied evenly in one coat.
ATTENTION HM2 is applied on clean, cold and dry surfaces. It is recommended to protect the treated surfaces from rain for the first 24 hours until the water-repellent barrier is completely formed. If sealed with heat-shrink film to pack the materials treated with HM2 on pallets, ensure adequate ventilation to allow the correct water-repellent action and to finish drying. It is always recommended to test the materials to be treated for the expected results. Federchemicals products are suitable for application on the back of marble with any cement-based adhesive compatible with the following characteristics: C2ES1; C2TES1; C2ES2; C2TES2. Federchemicals recommends that stone suppliers / contractors verify this compatibility with the glue manufacturer. Therefore, the compatibility between the glue and our impregnating / sealant can only be confirmed by the glue manufacturer. Do not apply the product in areas with a strong presence of chlorides or aluminous cementitious substrates.

INDICATIVE COVERAGE

1 lt for approximately 15-20 m2 depending on the type of surface to be treated.

STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original containers, hermetically sealed, at temperatures between 0 and 25°C, protected from direct sunlight in a ventilated area. In these conditions the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of the delivery note. If the material has been kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable but a quality control must be performed beforehand on the characteristics relevant to the application.

In addition to good working practices, before applying the product, it is advisable to read the safety data sheets that are available on our website www.federchemicals.it or upon request to your local dealer, as well as the instructions on the packaging. Do not store the product at temperatures below 10°C. We decline all responsibility for the processing and for damage that may result from improper and incorrect use of the product. The indications we give on the characteristics of the product and the methods of use come from in-depth results of laboratory and technical tests.
